Those guys work non-stop
July 22nd, 2009“Those guys just work non-stop. You are very lucky to have a crew like that. I’m sure happy that I went with you guys.”
Jeff Kenny
Why choose a 40 year composition shingle over a 30 year composition shingle?
July 22nd, 2009- 30 year roof will cost about $.065 cents, per square foot per year, if the roof is overlaid and about $.09 cents, per square foot per year, if the roof is torn off.
- A 40 year roof will add ten years to the roof life, at a cost of $.025 cents per square foot per year. If you adjust for the time value of money with a two percent difference between investment and inflation your 40 year roof will cost $.045 per square foot per year.
So the only reason not to buy a 40 year roof is because you are going to die soon or you just don’t have the money! There are other legitimate reasons not spend money on your roof, however the economics of a 40 year roof are sound.
When you remodel, start with the roof.
July 16th, 2009The top photo is of a job we finished in Penn Valley. The owner had just purchased the property and due to insurance requirements had to remove his wood shake shingles. The bottom photo is the original shake shingle roof.
As part of his major remodel process Jeff Kenney chose Gold Country Roofing to completely re-roof 3 structures on the property.
Some of his comments included: “Those guys just work non-stop. You are very lucky to have a crew like that. I’m sure happy that I went with you guys.”
In this economy it seems like more and more people are choosing to remodel in order to save money. Now is the perfect time of year to take a look at your roof and see if it’s time to invest a little to save yourself a lot in the future. Don’t wait until you notice water stains on your ceiling or you get dripped on in the middle of a storm. The crew worked hard and was very friendly…
June 26th, 2009The crew worked hard and was very friendly. The thing I was most impressed with was there was no garbage laying around. I expected shingles and nails all over. But when they left, I couldn’t even tell they had been there except for my new beautiful roof.
